EVCO, acronym for Electric Vehicles Company, was born from the total acquisition by IVECO of the joint venture “Nikola Iveco Europe”, created in 2019 with the American Nikola Motors. The company will continue the challenge of spreading electric trucks in Europe at the Ulm plant (Germany). Tecnomec participated in the creation of the first FCEV and BEV vehicles, with dozens of prototype details, which will be transformed into series production. As Mauro Patrucco, CEO of Tecnomec Srl, underlines: “With constantly evolving markets, it is important to remain competitive, trying to embrace the needs of our customers. Cold sheet metal forming characterized Tecnomec since its birth; however, to expand our offer we decided to start new investments on a new department with two 2D lasers and high-tech press-bending machineries, which allow us to manage prototype and low-volume productions internally. The department has currently been expanded and occupies a new area of the plant, with dedicated staff on two shifts”.
